In Poland, the standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz. The power plugs are the European standard electrical types, with two round pins. You can use your electric appliances in Poland, if the standard voltage in your country is in between 220 - 240 V (as is in the UK, Europe, Australia and most of Asia and Africa).

Upon registration, participants agree that neither the Organizing Committee nor the Meeting Secretariat assumes any liability. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

The unit of currency is Polish Zloty (sign: zł - code: PLN). Even though you may find some banks which will accept your currency in exchange for Zloty, you are more likely to come across exchange bureaus, which specialize in this type of transaction. Your credit card will enable you to withdraw cash in zlotys 24 hours a day at the hundreds of automatic cashpoints in the city. They often give you the choice of instructions in English or other languages. Make sure you check beforehand with your own bank however, because you may be charged for this service.
